In one bowl blend eggs, sugar, oil and flavoring. In another bowl, blend dry ingredients. Alternate flour and buttermilk with egg mixture. Stir in coconut and nuts. Bake in a preheated 325 degree F oven in two loaf pans about 1 hour.
While bread is hot in pans, pour Glaze over. Remove bread from pans and cool on wire rack.
Glaze 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 3/4 cup water 3 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
Combine sugar, water and butter in a saucepan. Boil 5 minutes. Add flavoring. |
