1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs, beaten 3 medium bananas, mashed 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup chopped nuts |

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Add bananas.
Sift dry ingredients and add to banana mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes; then reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake 50 minutes longer. Check with a wooden pick to be sure it is done. The top will crack.
This recipe can be doubled. |
