Scrub potatoes; cut lengthwise into quarters. Combine margarine, garlic powder, basil and salt in a 1-cup microwave-safe glass measure. Microwave at HIGH 20 to 30 seconds, or until margarine is melted.
Brush potatoes with margarine mixture. Arrange wedges, spoke fashion, on a large glass plate or in a large pie plate. Cover loosely with wax paper.
Microwave at HIGH 9 to 11 minutes, or until potatoes are tender; rotating dish one-half turn after 5 minutes and brushing with any remaining margarine mixture.
